
Lloyd has proudly lived in Clarington since 1995, when he moved here to work as a teacher at Durham Christian High and raise his family.
Since then, he has worked for the Ontario Government, supporting four Ontario Premiers and several Cabinet Ministers, as well as the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine.
Lloyd then joined Lakeridge Health in 2017 where he was the Senior Director of Communications and Community Development for the five-hospital system of regional care in Durham. He liaised with the community and various levels of government to lay the groundwork for future growth, including the rebuild of the Bowmanville Hospital. Lloyd now owns his own Bowmanville-based business specializing in communications for clients in the public sector and technology companies, including Habitat for Humanity GTA and the Clarington Board of Trade’s recent “Shop Where You Live” campaign.
Lloyd is a tireless volunteer who has served on the boards of Redeemer University and the Rotary Club of Bowmanville and is the current Chair of Valleys 2000.. His latest project is raising funds and creating a vision to turn the former Zoo Lands into a spectacular 35-acre signature park for Bowmanville.
Lloyd lives in Bowmanville with his wife Keerthana, his son Cameron, his daughter Anika, and his dog Shine. He is a member of the Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church in Bowmanville and has a monthly column in Christian Courier.
